I’ll be your driver…

This journey started about five years ago when I moved to Las Vegas. I got a job working in an office cubicle. It wasn’t fun, but it would pay the bills for now. But after a year in that cubicle, I realized I needed something else. I needed to be out, moving around, and doing something more fulfilling. I decided to give rideshare driving a try. It was great for a while, but after a couple years of doing that, I noticed certain things were missing.

Many of my rideshare clients would ask me if they could book me as their driver on future trips, but the rideshare apps didn’t offer that option. My clients also said in addition to requesting me as their driver, they would also love to be able to pre-schedule trips with me in advance (a day, a week or a month in advance). While the ridesharing apps did allow me more freedom and flexibility, it was still missing some of these key features. I also didn’t want to have to rely on their software platform in order for me to make a living. What if they were sued and had to shut down? What if they reclassified drivers as employees, and now we had to work when they told us to. What if they became over saturated with drivers and my pay would suddenly dry up? I needed something else.

And so, Summerlin Shuttle was born! I created this service as a way to solve these concerns I had, and that my clients had. With Summerlin Shuttle, my clients know who their driver will be every time…ME!  They know what vehicle they will be riding in, and they know what they’ll be paying every time. They can pre-schedule trips with me in advance. The same benefits apply to me – I know who my passengers are, how much I can expect to make every day, where I’ll be driving to, and when my day ends.
